根据《北京大学研究生公共必修课学习和考试的规定》中的要求，教学语言为外语的硕士、博士学位项目的留学生，须参加我校对外汉语教育学院开设的《基础汉语》课程学习，64学时（4学时/周），2学分。
According to the Regulations on the Study and Examination of Postgraduate General Compulsory Courses of Peking University, international students enrolled in English-taught Master’s and Doctoral programs shall take the Elementary Chinese course offered by the School of Chinese as a Second Language. This course totals 64 class hours per semester (4 class hours per week) and is worth 2 credits.

本课程适合零起点水平中文学习者。教学目标是培养学生对于中文基本语言特点的认知和兴趣，让学生能够用中文进行较简单的交流，解决日常生活中的基本语言需求。This course is designed for absolute beginners of Chinese. It helps students understand basic features of the Chinese language and build learning interest. Upon completion, students will be able to conduct simple daily communication and meet basic language needs in daily life.

本课程适合初级中文学习者（掌握200个左右中文词汇）。教学目标是通过学习中文基础语法、常用词和日常表达，有效提高日常中文交际能力。This course is intended for elementary learners who have mastered around 200 Chinese words. It focuses on basic Chinese grammar, commonly-used vocabulary and daily expressions to improve learners’ communicative competence.

本课程适合中级中文学习者（掌握600个左右中文词汇）。教学目标是进一步提高学生的中文听说和读写能力，扩大词汇量，用中文准确完成一般场景下的交际任务，能就熟悉的日常话题进行成段表达，包括口头和书面表达。This course is suitable for intermediate learners who have mastered around 600 Chinese words. It is designed to improve students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, enlarge their vocabulary, and enable them to communicate accurately in common scenarios. Students will also be able to deliver coherent oral and written expressions on familiar daily topics.

2. 免修安排 （每学期开学均可办理）
2021年秋季学期开始已不再为学生单独组织免修测试，符合下列条件之一的留学生可以申请免修《基础汉语》：
（1）项：2年内有效的新汉语水平考试HSK4级成绩单（包含机考，成绩单获得时间不早于2024年9月1日）210分及以上，其中写作部分成绩不低于65分。考试报名及考点查询参阅www.chinesetest.cn
（2）项：硕士生参加中文授课的专业课学习，修满培养方案必修课学分。
（3）项：博士生在学科综合考试时，由考试委员会依据教学目标对其汉语水平进行考察，并在“学术评语”栏内说明其汉语水平是否达到要求。达到要求，则可以办理免修。
请符合条件的学生下载“留学生《基础汉语》课程免修申请表”，按要求填写并在规定时间内提供相关证明材料。
