一、项目简介
作为中国第一所国立综合性大学，北京大学具有开展材料学科研究的深厚传统和特色优势，2005年成立先进材料与纳米技术系，2012年更名为材料科学与工程系。材料学科是北大最早进入ESI全球前1‰的学科之一，排名全球第16位，US News排名第6，QS排名第16，拥有材料科学与工程国家级一流本科专业、一级博士学位点和博士后流动站。学院现有教职工123人，依托先进碳材料、光电子材料、新能源材料、生命健康材料和新结构材料等五大方向组建大团队，开展有组织科研。近3年，发表高水平文章1200余篇，其中包括Nature 4篇、Science 1篇；授权专利88余项，获得国家技术发明二等奖1项、教育部一等奖2项。
为推动材料学科发展，培养具备理科基础和工科思维的跨学科人才，北京大学材料科学与工程学院（以下简称“材料学院”）拟举办北京大学2025年“M-Talents”暑期学校。项目面向广大海外学子和友人开放申请，提供前沿课程、企业参访、校园参观、文化活动等内容。
二、课程安排
项目周期：2025年7月7日-16日。
授课方式：北京大学校内线下授课
授课语言：中文、英文
三、申请流程
1、申请开放期限：2024年12月1日-2025年5月4日
请注意：申请系统只在开放期限内开通，请务必在指定时间内完成申请。
2、在线提交申请：http://www.studyatpku.com. 请注意使用有效电子邮箱注册账户并登录。成功注册后，将收到系统发送的确认邮件。
3、点击“申请”，选择“北京大学2025年“M-Talents”暑期学校”。
4、填写并上传系统中要求的所有信息。
请注意：填写系统时需要上传一张尺寸为640*480px的免冠证件照片，照片可以为JPG/BNP/GIF/PNG格式，文件大小小于1MB。
5、提交申请后，请等待录取确认邮件。
四、费用及保险
1、本项目免注册费，需要支付如下学费。学费包括申请人在北京期间的住宿费、学费、餐费等，不包含往返北京的交通费。
-自费生，4200元。
-奖学金生，700元。
奖学金生指学院在审核申请人材料后，认为学习成绩优秀、研究背景契合的申请人，2025年我们可提供不超过30个奖学金生名额。如要申请奖学金，请尽量提交能够证明自己学习能力、科研水平的证明材料。
2、申请人需要自行购买保险。

Overview of“M-Talents”Summer School
In order to expand student exchange with international partner universities, MSE launched the“M-Talents Summer School”program in 2023, offering premium courses and institute tours related to materials science, advanced engineering, etc, to overseas undergraduates from all over the world.This program will provide extensive and in-depth Chinese-foreign cultural exchange events and cultural activities.

3.Enterprise visits and workshops
4.Elementary Chinese language course
5.Culture excursions

Both English and Chinese
Application Prerequisites
1.The program will last from July 7th, 2025 to July 16th, 2025.
2.Applicant can be high school graduates who are interested in materials science or undergraduate or graduate students with a background in science and engineering.
3.Applicants are required to submit certificates to prove their English or Chinese proficiency.

2. Register your account with your email address and log in.
NOTE:
When signing up, please ensure that the email address you provide is valid. After successfully signing up, a confirmation email will be sent to the registered email address, and following announcements associated with the programwill be sent to the corresponding email address.
3. Click on Application, then enter the 2025 PKU 'M-Talents' Summer School and click Submit.
4. Fill in all the required information.
NOTE:
For Basic Information, please upload a headshot photo with dimensions of 640*480 px in JPG/BNP/GIF/PNG format and with a file size of less than 1 MB.
5. Submit your application.
After submitting the online application, please wait for the admission confirmation. You can check the registration status in the application system.
Payment
Registration feesare free.Tuition feesareas follows.
-4200 CNY for self-funded students.
-700 CNY for scholarship students. (If your resume is excellent, we will send you an email that shows you are the scholarship student.)
The above fees exclude air ticket expenses. Accommodations in Beijing (double room), registration, meals, courses are included in the program fee.
Insurance
International students are required to purchaselocalor global insurance covering the program period according to national regulations and school requirements.
