On October 10, a delegation led by Chen Xingqiu from the Institute of Metal Research (IMR), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), visited the School of Materials Science and Engineering (hereinafter referred to as “the School”) at Peking University. The exchange meeting was held in Room 137 of the Comprehensive Research Building. Zhang Jing and Guo Shaojun from the School warmly welcomed the delegation, and engaged in discussions on further deepening institutional collaboration and talent recruitment. Over 30 participants attended, including Zhou Yizhou, Executive Deputy Director of the Shi Changxu Advanced Materials Innovation Center and Head of an Innovation Team at IMR; Liu Hongyang, Head of an Innovation Team at IMR; as well as faculty members, postdoctoral researchers, and students from the School.

The Exchange Meeting
Zhang Jing extended a warm welcome to the IMR delegation and provided an overview of the School’s achievements. She emphasized the School’s commitment will fully leverage its advantages in disciplines, research, and talent to further strengthen comprehensive collaboration with research institutes, contributing more to the development of emerging productive forces.

Zhang Jing gave an introduction to the School.
Chen Xingqiu provided a comprehensive overview of the Institute of Metal Research (IMR), covering its general profile, recent research advancements, major projects, and talent recruitment policies. He highlighted the opportunities and challenges in the new eras, noting that IMR eagerly seeks young talents to contribute to its growth and innovation in Shenyang.. He expressed hope that this event would serve as a catalyst to further strengthen collaborationbetween IMR and the School of Materials Science and Engineering (PKU), attracting more high-caliber talent from Peking University toIMR.
